Finally! After a lengthy and exhausting journey we arrived to our final destination. We were welcomed by a small, cosy resort in an African style, the azure Pacific and several Black bartenders holding welcome drinks. Perfect. Our Zanzibari holiday could start!

I wore this small-sized watch Sunday Rose Mint Green throughout the entire holiday, it perfectly set off my suntanned skin.

To get back to Zanzibar, The Zanzibar Archipelago together with another nearby island are called “Spice Islands” for its perfect climate for the growing of various kinds of spices – cinnamon, vanilla or lemongrass. There is a special farm built-up for tourists called “Spice Farm” that initiates everybody into the mysteries of spice growing. After 4 days spent on Zanzibar we set out to Tanzania to experience Selous Safari, which is frequented by tourists from all over the world for being abundant in tropical fauna and flora, and which can boast the largest wilderness area in the world.

The Unguja Island is a relatively small island located south-eastwards off the African coast. Nevertheless, the island is the largest in the archipelago and it is a location of the territory’s capital, Zanzibar City, and its historic centre Stone Town, which is a World Heritage Site. Besides the beauties of nature, the island attracts tourists for its renowned food (seafood) and its high tidal range. Thanks to a unique low tide you, can see what is hidden under the ocean.

We also experienced the spirit of local culture. With our Zanzibari friend’s help we had a chance to see the everyday life of a typical insular African village, visit a local school and get to know customs and traditions. The school together with its pupils was the biggest enjoyment for all of us. I can’t even describe what we saw. Poverty, kindness, joy, fear. It was very emotional. If you will be lucky one day to have a taste of the local style of living, don’t hesitate. It stays with you forever.
